Hi. I’m Ester. I live in the Twin Cities and am learning to live with a constant undercurrent of wanderlust. I have a background in economics and urban planning – both of which have influenced my perspective immensely. One of my favorite things in the world is when someone brings two disparate ideas together in a compelling way. I guess that’s what I’m trying to do here and in my life. Find the connections. Seek out the causes and effects. Explore this tangled web. I write a lot about food because, in many ways, food provides a portal for looking at and exploring connections in our world. I also take pictures because, like writing, photography demands a pause. It’s these pauses – and the inherent reflections that come with these pauses – that allow me to dig deeper and explore my environment and its effects on me.
